Anonymous: I just wanted to say that it was sad to see you didn't have as much fun doing the spirit as EVERY other girl in the room. the mits were laughing and having a good time and you just couldn't bring yourself to join in. It's not that I'm hurt or angry, I'm just sad that we can no longer enjoy a song that's essentially a tradition in the region. And that even when we do it "illegally" while laughing and smiling, you can't join us. Maybe you should rethink how you feel about the fun spirit song.
It is a rule across the order not to do dirty spirit and as a regional leader I don’t feel comfortable doing inappropriate things that aren’t allowed. BBYO is always changing and it is my job to set a good example for the region. Though maybe you don’t feel uncomfortable with the songs, other people do even if they don’t say so. It’s important to make the chapter a comfortable environment for everyone. I love tradition and I love doing spirit but there are some things that I have to draw the line at.
